What our certification means to you…

All meat products are Glatt Kosher & Chassidishe Shechita

Glatt Kosher is meat from animals with smooth or defect-free lungs. Today, the term is often used informally to imply that a product was processed under a stricter standard of kashrut ✡, also referred to as the Jewish dietary laws.

✡ Kashrut (also kashruth or kashrus, כַּשְׁרוּת) is a set of dietary laws dealing with the foods that Jews are permitted to eat and how those foods must be prepared according to Jewish law. Food that may be consumed is deemed kosher (/ˈkoʊʃər/ in English, Yiddish: כּשר‎), from the Ashkenazi pronunciation of the Hebrew term kashér (כָּשֵׁר), meaning “fit” (in this context: “fit for consumption”). ✡

All baked goods are Pas Yisroel

Pas Yisroel or Pat Yisroel (Hebrew: פת ישראל‎ lit:”Bread of an Israelite”) products are grain-products that were cooked or baked with the participation of an observant Jew. The observant Jew must, at minimum, ignite the flame used to prepare, cook, or bake the grain product. **

Our establishment has a Mashgiach Temidi on the premises at all times

A Mashgiach Temidi is a Jew who supervises the kashrut ✡ status of a kosher establishment. A mashgiach may supervise any type of food service establishment, including slaughterhouses, food manufacturers, hotels, caterers, nursing homes, restaurants, butchers, groceries, or cooperatives. ***

Facility preparation & maintenance

PROCESS

It takes a great deal of resources to become and maintain Kosher certification. We take this task very seriously and take every measure to go above and beyond the requirements set by the OK Kosher authority. From our equipment maintenance to our food harvesting and dispatch, every step is meticulously supervised by our resident Mashgiach Temidi to ensure absolute compliance.
